I remember when my teacher said:

I said: "I can play guitar

When I came out of school
They said: "Which way you wanna go?"
But there was no way strong enough
Compared with rock'n roll
To get the same thrill

Anyhow I've found a job
They tried to break me with their

rules
But they had no chance at all

I had a feeling they couldn't buy

Eu me lembro quando o meu professor disse:

Eu disse: "eu posso tocar guitarra

Quando eu saí do colégio
Ele disse: "Qual carreira você quer seguir? "
Pois não há carreira forte o suficiente
Comparado com o rock'n roll
Para ter a mesma emoção

De qualquer maneira eu arranjei um emprego
Eles tentaram me quebrar junto com suas regras

Mas eles não tiveram chance alguma
Pois eu sabia o que fazer
Para ter a mesma emoção como o rock'n roll
