I'm standing on the mountain
Looking out upon the land,
Thinking above the truth and goodness
That is giving on to me.

I see love all over the flowers,
I hear a song from the buzzing bee
And peace is all around me
But there's no peace for you and me.

Lord, there ain't no trouble on the mountain no
And that's where i wanna go
But i just can't rest on the mountain top
When there's trouble down here below.

You can taste the honey from the honey bee,
You can sit in the shade of a shady tree,
There is no gift in the heart of a man
