Some time ago, didn't know what I was doin'
Just driving down that road to ruin
Down on my luck, feeling pretty grim
Just finished up a whole bottle of gin

A surprise, I couldn't believe my eyes
I fell down to the ground by the massive sound
Out of the blue came this shining light
When the smoke cleared, what a beautiful sight

Feels like I'm going blind

I woke up with a headache from hell
Looks like I've slept in a prison cell
Tattered and torn, down and out
I was a god damn mess there's no doubt

Tried to walk but I couldn't even crawl
Got pushed back against the wall
Honey on my tongue, tasted so sweet
Angels touch and the devils beat
