There ain't never been a walk so lonesome
Than the walk of a sinning man
You can talk a smile, but all the while

Well I know about the way of salvation
And I thank the Lord I'm saved
I try to thank Him every night before I fall asleep

A million dollars couldn't buy me salvation
I couldn't but it with the prayers I've prayed
But the Lord bought it for me with the blood of His son
Now He's taken all my sin away

He was scourged with metal scraps

I saw streaks of red flow from the cuts on His head
When they crowned Him with the crown of thorns
They hung him naked on a cross
They drove nails in His hands
I saw tears in His eyes as they pierced His side
And they left Him on the wood to bleed

Jesus paid the ransom

Yes they killed my Lord that Friday
