Once this green and pleasant land
was a sleeping giant in a raging sea
now she's seen her warriors slain
this helpless giant wonders how can this be

My nation is dying, it fills me with sadness
the nation I love, is now filed with badness
my nation is crying, oh why so much madness
The nation I love has never had less

Where are they now her warrior braves
who's lives were proudly pledged to protect
they're now all lying in unmarked grave
for their love and pride they would never reject

Listen now it's not too late to rise
and resurrect the dream of a brave new world
we all now fight for the greatest pride
march into battle with standards unfurled

So come and stand proudly by my side
together we will build a triumphant story
feel your lionheart swell with pride
