I used to think that airplanes
Were just another story
That people held up by wires
All alone I used to listen to my heartbeat
Underneath the patchwork of a woman who's much like you

There are faces in the houses where we used to live

This face keeps getting older everyday

Young man driving on the freeway
He can't slow down
Just because he's in love
Young girl crying all the time
I'm feeling better now
I'm past the lowest point of all

When she's alone
She listens to her heartbeat
Why won't God talk to me
Why won't you talk to me
If he ever answers
It's something like a stranger
I just miss holding you
I miss the feel of being held
