We talk about South Africa and we say it's a shame
Apartheid is wrong and we all share the blame
But people let me tell you, everywhere you go it's the
same,
people are being mistreated, when will it change?
Let's talk about the future and learn from the past
We must love one another if this world is going to
last
We fought for self-respect, we fought for equal
rights
We've known a long, long time that discrimination
ain't right

A ghetto is no place for children to grow
But you can find a ghetto everywhere you go
I heard Dr. King say: "I have a dream"
All he wanted was to let the freedom ring
Why do we have to fight in wars to save our land
If we get back alive, there's still no dignity
Do I have to die before I can be free?
I want freedom in my life, that's the way it's got to
be

I'm tired of discrimination, this has to stop
We must learn to live together before the bombs drop

We were promised this freedom, but we have a long way
to go
