And sometimes when I'm alone like this
I return to the alleys of my youth
to my childhood that disappeared with the years
to those old friends of mine
I return to the colours and the sounds
to the naive and big eyes
I return to the neighbourhood to the berry tree
to the very red kite tied by a string
we were kids and it was a long time ago
me, Simon and little Moiz

I remember the rex cinema day-shows
and from afar the church bells
oh how we chased doves on roofs
we wanted to fly with them up to the clouds
and in the amusement park on swings
we promised to be faithful to all the girls
we played sign and long horse and headers
the wars were not real then
we were kids and it was a long time ago
me, Simon and little Moiz

In Sabbath shoes and a barette hat on
and with beautiful Hebrew with ayin and with chet
we rode on a cloud made of pillows
and we drowned ships with a cork gun
I was Tarzan, and Simon was Erol Flynn
and little Moiz jumped like gonga din
and on the very cold winter nights
we were covered with all the dreams
we were kids and it was a long time ago
me, Simon and little Moiz

Years passed sine and now the city's big
not even a word is heard from Simon
and little Moiz where did he disappear to
and rex cinema no longer exists either
but me when I'm alone like this
