Sister says she's hungry brother says he's hungry too
If daddy don't get a job real soon I don't know what we're gonna do

My daddy's looking mighty worried since they cut off the pretty at the store
I used to ask mom what's for supper now I don't ask anymore

The people from the church came by last night and brought a big basket of food
I guess mama's prayers were answered it's strange how the Lord does move
