He walks through the door
And sees the railroad yard
And he blames the weatherman
For it raining so hard

Sometimes the sky is gray
And other times it is white
So he rubs his weary eyes
And wonders if he's losing his sight

Past the butcher shop and the telephone booth
Where couples talk in the dark
Then over the bridge to her door
She opens it with a sigh

And shoots her right between the eyes
